GROWING GUIDE

Sowing Instructions: Sow at any time of year. Sow thinly at a depth of 1.5mm in pots or trays of peat-based, moist seed compost (eg. Levington). Place in a propagator or seal in a polythene bag and maintain a temperature of 25-27C with good humidity. Germination can be erratic and slow and can take up to 60 days. Keep the seed compost very moist, but never saturated at all times and the temperature high.

Growing Instructions: When seedlings are large enough to handle, pot up individually into 7.5cm pots and grow on in a greenhouse or coldframe, overwintering frost-free as necessary. When well established, plant out in spring when all risk of frost has passed, 90cm apart in moist, loamy soil and part shade.
