Height: 3-9m if not pruned back.
Position: Sun
Packet of 25 or 100 seeds
GROWING GUIDE
Pre-sowing Treatment: Soak the seeds in tepid water for 12 hours or until seeds start to swell.
Sowing Instructions: Sow at any time of the year. Sow very thinly in trays or pots of good seed compost at a depth of 3mm and place in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag. Maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25C and germination should take place in 1-3 months.
Note: Germination can be very erratic, so sow thinly and prick out the seedlings as they become large enough to handle disturbing the rest of the compost as little as possible.
Growing Instructions: Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm pots. Overwinter at a temperature of about 5C.
Aftercare Instructions: Harden off and plant out when all risk of frost has passed 2m apart in a sheltered sunny site. Prefers a rich, light, well drained soil.
