New Zealand native grass forming a tussock of weeping green leaves with tall, elegant, arching stems topped with drooping, silky, pale green plumes that later turn a lovely shade of tawny cream.  The stems and plumes are fantastic for flower arrangements.  Very easy to maintain and exceptionally hardy.

GROWING GUIDE

Sowing Instructions:  Sow at any time of year except mid summer as too much heat can cause the seedlings to become leggy and weak.

Sow on the surface of a moist, free-draining seed compost and cover thinly with sieved compost, vermiculite or perlite. Propagate at 15C, either indoors or outside, covering the container with a clear lid/bag to prevent the compost drying out too quickly.  Germination should begin to take place in 30 to 60 days. As soon as some of the seedlings begin to emerge, increase ventilation by opening the cover/bag.  Keep the compost moist but take care not to over-water.  If after 60 days, the seeds have not germinated, they may benefit from a cold spell of 2-5C for 2-4 weeks.

Growing Instructions:  Grow the seedlings on, shaded lightly from direct sunlight and when large enough to handle, pot up individually into 8 or 9cm pots.  When large enough, plant out into well-drained soil in a sunny position.

If an order is returned to us as undelivered by the postal service, we will refund the cost of the products purchased, not the delivery charge. When a service other than standard delivery is used, we will also deduct this from the refund (eg. signed for, special delivery or courier charges).  It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the delivery address on the order is correct.
