Very easily grown, exotic-looking climber which bears spikes of tubular, orange-red flowers in profusion all summer. Excellent for twining through other climbers on trellis, fences and archways. Will self-seed freely and appear year after year.

Half-hardy Climber - usually grown as a half-hardy annual, although it can be grown as a perennial in some areas where it will survive a mild winter.

GROWING GUIDE

Sowing Instructions: Sow at any time of year. Sow onto the surface of a good free draining damp seed compost and lightly cover with sieved compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place and maintain a temperature of 15-20C. Germination can be slow and can take 2-3 months. Sometimes the seeds will wait until spring to germinate regardless of when they are sown.

Growing Instructions: When seedlings are large enough to handle, pot up individually into 7.5cm pots and grow on in cool conditions in good, natural light. Acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost has passed. Plant out 90cm apart in a sunny position in loamy well drained soil. Protect from temperatures below 0C or grow as an annual.

Due to phytosanitary regulations we are unable to send seeds outside the UK.  If a mail forwarding service in the UK is used to send your order abroad, please be aware that we will not take responsibility for orders confiscated by customs.

          
 

If an order is returned to us as undelivered by the postal service, we will refund the cost of the products purchased, not the delivery charge. When a service other than standard delivery is used, we will also deduct this from the refund (eg. signed for, special delivery or courier charges).  It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the delivery address on the order is correct.
