New version of the more well known green leaved Himalayan Honeysuckle. Bears the same very showy pendant clusters of purple and white flower bracts but has bright golden foliage subtly tinged with crimson. Perfect for brightening up a semi shaded corner. Flowers in summer to early autumn and is best treated like a perennial and cut right back in late autumn.

GROWING GUIDE

Sowing Instructions: Sow at any time of the year.  Sow on the surface of a moist, sandy seed compost, eg. John Innes in pots or trays (mix 3 parts compost to one part sand). Just cover the seed with finely sieved compost. Seal in a polythene bag or place in a propagator and maintain an optimum temperature of 15-18C. Germination should occur after 30-60 days. As the seedlings emerge, gradually increase ventilation by opening the bag or propagator vents.

Growing Instructions: Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 9cm pots. Grow on in cooler conditions (about 10-13C) with plenty of light, but shaded from direct sun and overwinter, if necessary, at about 5C. When established, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and grow on until mature enough to be planted out in the garden in a sunny or semi shaded position.

If an order is returned to us as undelivered by the postal service, we will refund the cost of the products purchased, not the delivery charge. When a service other than standard delivery is used, we will also deduct this from the refund (eg. signed for, special delivery or courier charges).  It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the delivery address on the order is correct.
