GROWING GUIDE
Sowing Instructions: Sow at any time of the year, in pots or trays of moist, free-draining seed compost and just cover with a fine layer of sieved compost. Seal in a polythene bag or place in a propagator or other warm place and maintain an optimum temperature of 18-20C. Keep checking the compost to make sure it remains just moist. Germination should occur after 21-42 days. As the seedlings emerge, gradually increase ventilation by opening the bag or propagator vents.
Growing Instructions: Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 9cm pots. Grow on in slightly cooler conditions with plenty of light, but shaded from direct sun and over-winter if necessary above 5C. When established, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out after the risk of frost has passed in a sunny or semi shaded, sheltered position. Protect from frost in winter with a thick layer of mulch and/or a cloche.
